It's no secret that we like to do our part and give back at the holidays. This year, we were inspired to do a little extra.
In addition to our annual food drive, a few of our team members volunteered to join the #AdoptaMomma program by Made by Momma to help families living in Calgary who are going through trying times to have a memorable holiday.
ADOPT-A-MOMMA FOR CHRISTMAS
The Adopt-a-Momma program was created to help families that Made by Momma support through trying times and do not have the means to have a memorable holiday. The program matches needy families with generous sponsors – families, neighbours, clubs, businesses or organizations. Sponsors take on the responsibility of providing the holiday preparations for a family – this usually includes presents, special treats, non-perishable food, grocery gift cards, etc.
Admittedly, we were a little late to sign up, so it was a bit of a whirlwind to get everything together in time! That said, we were able to pull it all together in record time and are proud to say that we delivered all our hand-wrapped gifts, treats, and holiday supplies to Made by Momma on time. We hope our donations can help make our adopted family's Christmas a little bit brighter!

They help families facing adversity and crisis by providing healthy homemade meals, wholesome baked goods, baby essentials, children's items, supportive in-home visitors and other services to allow mothers to rest, recover and focus on their families and their health.
